About The Derwentwater

Dear Friends
In light of the Prime Minister's announcement , we are sad to say that our hotel  will be closing from Thursday 5th November as part of the National Lockdown, until 2nd December.
We, or one of our partner companies  aim to be in touch with all of our affected customers over the course of the week and we will  be doing this  in date  order.
So, if you have an upcoming booking during this period,  we would ask that you  either cancel via the company with whom you made your original booking, or wait for the hotel to get in touch with you.

Please note our phone lines will not be manned after Wednesday 4th . Should you need to contact the hotel directly, please use the email address shown on the contact page .
In the  meantime, we wish you and your families  well . Stay  safe.

Derwentwater is at the very centre of the Lake District – one of England’s most storied, beautiful and visitor-friendly regions. When you stay at The Derwentwater you’ll be spoiled for choice – whether you are looking for energetic adventure activities, watersports or a leisurely boat trip, walks and tranquil views.

There are 47 hotel bedrooms with twins, doubles and family rooms. There is also the adjoining Derwent Manor Apartments – 19 self-catering apartments with one or two bedrooms – set in their own grounds and with easy  access to the hotel.

The hotel itself has 16 acres of grounds and gardens, as well as restaurant, bar and conservatory, so you may well choose to relax and remain at The Derwentwater on some days. But there is so much to do and see in the surrounding area that you should really book in for several nights. You just won’t want to go home until you’ve discovered such iconic locations as Grisedale Pike, Helvellyn, Castlerigg Stone Circle and the Bassenthwaite Lake National Nature Reserve.
